Panoramic view east from Mt. Prospect Auto Road on a drizzly day. Presidential Range would be in the center if not obscured by clouds. |

Stone observation tower rises in the mist |

The tower also serves as a fire look-out |

Weeks Lodge from the lower carriage house |
|
A gorgeous huge hydrangea was blooming below the lodge |
|
Seeing the "Weeks Lodge" sign on the building, we assumed that it was a private inn, so after visiting the tower & taking a few pics of the grounds, we headed back down the road. But luckily we stopped & talked with a lady walking her dog, who told us that the lodge was, in fact, a museum, so back we went! |

Wall decorations - Moose and Elk |

Another big fireplace upstairs |

There is also a huge early collection of (stuffed) native birds and mammals in the lodge, but we didn't take any photos. |

The rain had stopped, so I climbed the tower to shoot a few pics |
