Since I lost all the tracks and waypoints on my phone when my SD card died in mid 2020, I made another visit to this area to re-record the various trails and signicant structures on my GPS app. December 30, 2020 - Of course, I had to take some more photos of the various rock piles, walls and terraces here, many of which I have probably included in earlier albums of this location: |
Stone wall, with another parallel wall faintly visible in the background |
Section of wall that was in background of previous image |
Rock pile with some large flat stones laying to the side |

Part of a wall made up of very large stones |
Rock pile with linteled "chamber" I have always been intrigued by this particular mound... |
Another pile consisting of particularly large stones |
Stone Pile 1 This was the pile excavated and reported by Jannie Loubser's survey in 2001. |
Stone Pile 1 Limited excavations show this pile probably dating to the Middle Woodland or Late Woodland/Early Mississippian period. |

Portion of a long wall in the upper area of the site. |

I half-jokingly refer to this stone pile on bedrock as "the altar". |
