None of the old-timers in the area seem to know anything about this mine tunnel. From the best I can determine, it was one of the kyanite prospects conducted by the A. C. Spark Plug Co. in 1931. |

Once inside, the adit opened up to a standard configuration although on the small side; I couldn't stand completely upright. |

I came to a spot where the adit intersected a quartz vein. |

I kept feeling what I thought was water dripping on me, but it was the cave crickets jumping off the ceiling! |
