In mid December 2018, I was exploring some creek segments I hadn't yet visited: |

A form of Witch's Butter... I forgot to examine the old fallen tree this was growing on. If conifer, this is Dacrymyces chrysospermus. If hardwood, it's Tremella mesenterica. |

A nice freefall on an un-named branch, almost 40 feet tall. I had visited this waterfall gorge before, but hadn't scrambled up to the base of this drop. |

Tall freefalling waterfalls like this are not common in this area. |

I suspected this was a Tolypocladium species when I saw it. I should have excavated below it to get the deer truffle (Elaphomyces sp.) attached. |
