LG_strut
Tail Landing Gear Shock Strut - Outer Cylinder

The wings of the Norseman UC-64 aircraft consisted primarily of fabric covered wood beams,
with 5 major steel truss assemblies and various other metallic fittings and controls.

Below are some of the trusses and other components from one wing:

Wing Truss No. 1

Wing_Truss_No_1
Opposite end of Wing Truss No. 1
The fittings for the wood spar attachment are similar to those used
today in modern house construction (on floor joists, for example).

Wing_Truss_No_2
Wing Truss No. 2

Wing_fitting
Wing Spar Jury Strut Fitting Assembly
It took me several years to identify this!

Wing_Frame_Assy
Parts Manual illustration showing Wing Spar Fittings highlighted.
While the fittings were inside the wing, they connected to the
Jury Struts, which attached to the struts and stiffened them.

Mooring_stake_tip

Mooring arrow - See figure from Parts Catalog below
These came in a clip of 18, and were used with the anchor rods and driving rod (left) to secure the aircraft.

Hoist_Moor_Equip

Unknown_fairing
Possibly a landing gear fairing (?)

Fairing
LH Fuselage End Fairing

Rubber
Unidentified rubber piece

Two_hole_panel
With these two cut-outs, you would think I could ID this panel,
but I've looked over the entire aircraft and haven't located it yet.
I did notice, on a sketch, a few small access holes on the belly of
the plane for "fuel tank drain cock access".   I couldn't see them
in any photos, but I wonder if that's where this panel was located.

Two_hole_panel
Reverse side of previous piece

Fairing
RH Fuselage End Fairing

TE_Cover
Trailing edge cover

Fuselage_head-on_rotated
Since the aircraft fuselage is on its side, I rotated this head-on image
in an attempt to allow easier viewing at its "proper" orientation.
