and diverse collection of historical, biological, botanical and scenic wonders.
UPDATE: Sadly, the owners of this once beautiful tract decided not to renew GA DNR's
lease, and in 2023, Bartow Co. Sole Commissioner Steve Taylor approved the area as
a "development district", allowing millions of square feet of industrial space, 16,500
residences, hundreds of acres of commercial development and 500 acres for mining.
Unfortunately, the all-mighty dollar won out again...
