This location contains the ruins of an old mineral springs resort from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Known as the Queen of the Mountains, it prospered until the 1920s. It was a local "ghost town" in the 1950s, but unfortunately most of the remains were bulldozed many years ago. |

Closer view of the spring When the spring was "discovered" in 1868, and subsequently cleared, it was found to be lined with stone, indicating its likely use by others, perhaps hundreds of years before. |
