After (what I thought was the end of) a day and a half of rain, I headed to a few of my favorite early spring wildflowering spots in Clay County to see what was blooming.   A lot of the plants were pretty soggy after 4 inches of rain, but I still saw a variety.   As it turned out, the rain WASN'T over, and I got chased out after only hitting a couple of the locations I wanted to visit.

1 - Early April 2025

Dwarf_Ginseng
Dwarf Ginseng   (Panax trifolius)
It was a little early for these - the larger plants were still in bud, and
only the smaller ones had the flowers in the influorescence fully open.
