All Text & Images: Copyright (2019) |
This location consists of two distinct multiple-quarry sites, roughly 500 feet apart on adjacent ridges. Having seen references to this site, Alan C and I put on our research hats, which led to our discovery of the location. We have been unable to find much documentation of this site in the public record. Area A: |

Fuscopannaria leucosticta - a nice find, especially growing on rock |

"This lichen is uncommon to rare, and an indicator for the suite of high-quality, pollution-intolerant lichens that culminate in the two Lobaria species." |
