Early August, 2022 I saw Crisped Bunchflower for the first time in 2019, and found two more occurrences later that year. The species is a very reluctant bloomer. I looked for flowering stalks in 2020 and 2021, with no luck. I returned to this site today and found two flowering stalks. The species likes to grow with its cousin, Melanthium parviflorum (formerly Veratrum parviflorum). |

Turk's Cap Lily (Lilium superbum) On my way to the Melanthium site, I always pass through a population of these lilies. |
