1 - Mid July, 2021 I visited the FS Road at Corundum Knob to check on two species. Unfortunately, I was too early for the Lilium superbum (still in bud), and the Melanthium hybridum (which is always a reluctant bloomer) did not put up any flower stalks this year. |

4 - August 16, 2021 A little over two weeks later... Well, the Carolina Lily finally flowered, but I missed its peak bloom time. Luckily, I had caught another in bloom at a different site the previous week... |
