1 - Weaver Cabin - Union Co. This log cabin was built around 1850. It was the home of Gordon Weaver up until the 1960s. The intact roof is probably the only reason that it's still standing. |

The upper part of the chimney has toppled down over the years. |

Fireplace It looks like someone built a fire in the fireplace using entire tree limbs and trunks hauled in from outside. Lucky that wood didn't keep burning beyond the hearth and burn the whole place down! |

The home has a double porch across the front, and intricate woodwork on the exterior trim. |

Gene married Carrie Burch (1883-1973) in 1911, and they raised their family here. |
