Guarding the cabin |
We hadn't treated the cabin's wood siding for several years & the cedar was starting to look ratty. Rather than clear finish, we decided to add color - forest green with (eventually) dark red trim. Not bad for the first day's work. |
A few weeks later, we stained the other two sides. Still have the porch and trim to go... |
Quite a contrast with this pic taken 6 weeks earlier! |

A swim in the lake |
Molly likes creek wading, but doesn't much care for swimming. |

Little cascade in our creek. |
Was heading back when I noticed the star pattern of the setting sun. I lined up a few shots before the effect disappeared. |
It's hard to shoot a sunset at our cabin, being on a south-facing ridge in deep woods. |
