3 - October 26, 2020 I knew from past years that some ridges coming off Brasstown Bald put out some nice color in the fall. On this hike, I visited a rock outcrop off the Arkaquah Trail where I had photographed some colorful panoramas back in 2017. Unfortunately, when I arrived, there was a heavy overcast, making for very dull foliage. There were occasional breaks with sun poking through, so I hung around for almost two hours, hoping for improved conditions. I was rewarded with a few fleeting moments of afternoon light that made the colors pop. |
