These falls are in the midst of a "laurel hell" (actually rhododendron) which is mixed with lots of deadfall. That and the steepness limited the available shooting angles. A steep 60-70 foot slide continues through a semi-slot below this, but the vegetation and blowdown prevented any photos of that section.

These falls would have been more impressive without the recently fallen trees in the middle. Heavy rains led to scouring of the rock along the creek and the trees came tumbling down.

The trees/branches have created a partial dam at the top of this boulder which has changed the flow around the rock.
